How to get the up button on my chair remote to stop sticking?
The switch may be contaminated with soda or other schmootz.
Contact cleaner may contaminate it, which is not good either.
To do it right requires opening the area and cleaning the switch or replacing it.
Another way is to unplug the chair (again unplug !) and try sponging the area to loosen the dirt or contaimination. Move the switch area into the sunlight and let it dry out for a day or two.
You can also use a blow dryer as long as you don't keep it in one place too long (move it back and forth).
Then retry it and see if the problem persists.
