The yellow walls made the large room seem small. Her shiny brown orbs stared down the rows of small kids from ages 4-9. Their faces were cute and pudgy, sort of like a baby's face. They looked about well fed, however they seemed a bit rambunctious. They were lying around on a red carpet shaped as an oval, and they had toys all around them, and there was a foul stench of diapers not being changed. . .Yuck! "Selena, we need your help in the back!" Screeched a harsh Marlene. Selena sighed. She took one last longing glance at all of the poor kids in front of her, and walked to where Marlene was standing. "Yes, Ms. Marlene? How may I be of service?" "It's 3o'clock, do you have any idea what that means?" Selena hesitated. Today was her first day being on duty at this children's Daycare. She had no clue what went on here; other than this was a children's Daycare and you had to take care of the kids before they go completely bonkers. Not wanting to upset her boss, Marlene, she quickly grabbed herself out of her thoughts and replied in just a whisper. ". . .It's, 3o'clock?" "No! It means it is time for those kids to have their afternoon snack." Marlene stuck out a pudgy finger and pointed it towards a pink door. "The food is in there. Do you mind grabbing. . .oh, I don't know, how about some crackers?" Selena shook her head no. "No ma'am, of course not." She strolled over to the pink door and twisted the golden, metal knob.
