Is it a bad thing to be an organ donor?
you no when u get a drivers licence u choose if u want to donate your organs?? well my mom told me that if u ever get into an accident and ur kinda dieing or what ever theyll let u die cuz ur an organ donar and they want them but i dont no.. im not a donorI have never heard of this happening. I doubt that it happens very often if at all, because parametics devote their lives to helping people live so I don't think they would let someone die. I think they are good people who wouldn't be able to live with themselves if they did that. I am an organ donor and I hope everyone who isn't decides to become one.No, I haven't heard such a thing in my life! Just make sure you go to a good doctor and have a nice hospital near by! Lol!I have heard of this but I think it is just rumors. I don't think anyone intentionally lets people die. it is their job to save lives, so why would they let you die to save another.Stories like this come and go all the time. They may be true, they may be not. I still have my organ donor card to donate my organs if I die.

There are many fears, I might get hit by a truck, shot at while driving to work, or struck by lightning in a parking lot. I can't worry about that, so I don't.That is so totally not true its not even funny. The paramedics do not even know if you are a canidate for organ harvesting. If the organs go without oxygen for a certain period of time, they are no longer any good.
In addition, the body has to be kept on medication to keep the organs viable. These drugs are not even carried on an ambulance.
The patient's organs have to be able to be used. In other words they have to have another body that is compatable. There is absolutely no way they can know that.
Basically, the person who told you this is full of it.Wow very interesting! whoever told u that the paramedics let ppl die just so that they can give their organs to the ppl that need it. bothers me a bit to hear such a thing! i hope its not true.. its up to ppl dat have their driver's liscence to be a organ donor because they ask u that... personally if i was to die today or tommorow and my organs were still good for a person that need it i will let them take it .. u need to watch the movie john Q. its very goodThat's absolutely NOT TRUE. The medical team always chooses life for the patient. Organ donors are usually brain dead in the ICU. Before they disconnect the respirator, they will check with the family. It is a good thing to be a donor, at least some good can come from something so terrible.Big FAT Urban legend.

Paramedics have no way of knowing what blood type you have, does your tissue match, do you have cancer or other condition that would prevent you from being a donor.

Wouldn't that be a kicker if they let somebody die and found out that the victim had the wrong blood type?No I think they would get sued big time. I don't think that is true.
