How long does it take to regain energy after opiate withdrawl?
I was an addict for 3 years. I quit cold turkey in July and I still have problems getting motivated. Some days I just DON'T want to do anything. It takes time, and a lot of support. For me getting over pain pills wasn't just getting it out of my system, which only takes about a month. It is a mental thing too, and what I have noticed that makes me have bad days is thinking about how I would feel if I could just take one pill. Once I get that thought in my head the rest of my day is difficult. It will take some time. I have found that I drink coffee a lot now and i never really drank it before. But I personally don't think taking anything natural or not will help. It is something that we have to get over.the thing is that opiates flood the body with enorphins. when addiction starts the body no longer produces enophins because the drug did it for them.
but after detoxing it usualy takes a month or two for the body to get back into the swing of things. he NEEDS to excersize. its the best but also the most uncomfortable for someone in his condition. it will be painful and he realy wont like it but eventualy the endophins start flowing and he exersizing will be easyI would get protein formulas with all the amino acids. The body needs to be built up and that can be something to help. Green barley grass is also good.
