I bought these spoons because I liked the bright colors. They looked fun and like they would capture the interest of my little man, who was just starting on solids. I also purchased the soft-tip Munchkin spoons (that are similar to the Gerber brand) and the Nuk temperature-sensitive spoons. Well, the Nuk and Munchkin spoons never get used because these spoons combine all of the best features of both. First, these spoons have a deep basin like the Nuk spoons. The padded tip spoons are so shallow that you can barely get any food on them. Second, these spoons have a soft tip. The whole basin of the spoon is actually flexible, which makes for a more comfortable eating experience for your baby. Third, the bright colors really do capture the baby's interest so they are more likely to pay attention once they get to that age where they are easily distracted. Finally, they have a longer handle than any other baby spoon I've seen so feeding is easier for the feeder. They are not temperature sensitive, but who feeds their baby without checking the temperature of the food anyway? This is one of the best products I've bought for my son! I would like to notify you that the colors I received are not the same as pictured. I received two spoons with pink basins (one with blue and one with green) and one purple spoon that is a pastel purple with yellow, so three of my six spoons are girly. Not that it really matters, just fyi.

Pros:
*LONG Handle is easier to grip than other popular brands
*B/C they're molded plastic in one piece, they clean EASY in dishwasher/by hand (Unlike Gerber spoons)!
*Very colorful-perfect for boys or girls
*VERY soft plastic-great for beginner to advanced eaters

Con: The ends of these spoons are heavy, so if you place them in a tall empty jar/bowl, the container will tip more times than not. Just something you've got to remember...

We've bought 3 sets of these so that our little guy has spoons at our home and his grandparents' homes. Everyone had previously purchased other brands of baby spoons (Gerber and Nuk), and remarked about how much easier to use these are! As soon as my son starts to feed himself, with utensils, we might transition to a shorter spoon, but these are perfect for our family at his current stage!
FYI: These can be found WAY cheaper at Target.

Excellent spoons, December 4, 2008

I have tried a lot of spoons out there. I have three children and have bought spoons each time they began to eat solids. The spoons are long enough so that my youngest daughter can grab onto it and I don't lose control of the spoon. This seems to help her while she's trying to coordinate getting the spoon into her own mouth. They are also deep which helps the food stay in the spoon when it's being manipulated and swatted by little hands. And they're bright and colorful. My three year old "picky eater" loves to borrow the "baby spoons" because they're much more interesting than her regular spoons. Whatever it takes to get her to eat.

Infant Reflexes

Shot June 22, 2007 There wasn't a whole lot Cam could do a month after he was born. We were so anxious to show him off we decided to show his skill level at the time. Reflex information came from this site: pregnancy.about.com CAUTION: YouTube videos don't replace the need for solid medical education at an accredited university. Take it for what it's worth---a cute baby doing what comes naturally. If you want to see what Cam is doing now, just check out my other videos! www.youtube.com www.youtube.com

A Collection of Baby Nursery Decorating and Infant Safety eBooksWhat do you think about infant circumcision?
Help the lil fella out. Nip/tuck the extra skin. It'll help his self esteem in the long run. Uncut is so yesterday.Did you know it has differing mortality rates depending on where done? Some babies actually die from it (for no reason) every year.Ok, so we take an infant who has no memory of his circumcision and trade it for a 13 year old who will remember every painful moment? Hmmmm..... I take it you're not a parent. We are asked in the hospital if we would like to have this done. It is elective. Most doctors recommend that the son look like the father. I had both my boys circumcised simply because their father was. I changed them within an hour of the operation and they had no ill effects.I also think it's crap. My son is now 9 uncut and has never had a problem with it either. It's a religious practice that people have tried to keep in tact by claiming that it's healthy. Why don't we as a society cut a woman's breasts off when she's born so that she wont get breast cancer. It's ridiculous.NO people should not still be circumcising in the year 2006. It's barbaric.children don't have no choice in no matter.if he wants his child circumcised then so be it. everyone don't have good personal hygene techniques. his child need to be circumcised because he might develop unforeseen uncleansiness. circumcise your child. you don't need no input about what belongs to you. what is good for one person might not be good for another. do it!!!You have the choice of not having it done to your child. You have been fortunate enough not to have suffered any problems.
The thing is that the child is having it done at the earliest possible time and they numb it with a gel. It is a simple procedure that is done many times in a day.
I knew a man that had to have it done at 11 years of age and it was very pain full for him.
This is an acceptable procedure for the parents to decide for the child just like immunizations.
I think that it is what is done for the benefit of the child, it is not to hurt them in any way.I think it's barbaric and unnecessary. It is not done routinely in Europe and other countries -- teach the child proper hygiene as he grows up and it shouldn't be a problem.I'm circumcised, and it wasn't that painful, because there are pain relievers when I was thirteen. But babies have to go through that actual pain, and there's no way to tell if there is something wrong because the baby can't speak out.

But still, the boy will have no recollection whatsoever of what happened to him, so I guess it's OK. The parents are actually thinking that they're saving their baby from the pain that they will remember.

There are some positive and negatives sides to it, just the way most things are.

P.S.

By the way, it is healthy. And research shows that uncircumcised men actually transmit STD's without having one, just by not cleaning it. It feels freaky to toch the head if you're uncircumcised. It is a hygenic procedure that ensures the child / person does not have to deal with unnessicary health problems later in life. It also makes sex better as the equipment is so much more sensitive. Not always does the hospital cut the baby boy to do a circumcision. The dr's have started to do a ring like method, they put a ring around the foreskin, loosely clamp it & allow the skin to demolish (simular to what they do w/the umbilical cord but not as harsh.) They somewhat do it for health reasons/good hygiene, so there is a purpose. Though some hospitals do use other methods, but rarely do they cut the baby anymore. (my mom works in labor & delivery so..) Its the parents choice so...
